The settings are done in the library. For example the Document library can connect to the Category list. What is the other data table that we look at? The Search results table. Can you set dynamic filter on the Search results list?
I want to prototype a design to filter the results of a search. You run the PnP search on all the Documents. That results in a list of docs that match the search. But how can I filter that output?
The Category list is the single source of truth, shared by the Playbook metadata and the Table of Contents.
### Monday plan
* Create a SharePoint list named Categories. One item per Category, using the Title column for the Category name.
* Configure the Documents library's Category column as a Lookup column pointing to `Categories → Title`, rather than maintaining a separate Choice list.
* Create the Browse Playbooks base view, preserving the existing card formatting, descriptions and Severity pills.

An entire day on site, uninterrupted, with a promising architecture to test. That's a good opportunity to turn the investigation into a defensible recommendation.
I'd prepare two things: the explanation to the client and tomorrow morning's status update. The important distinction is that we're recommending an architectural direction, not claiming the implementation is already proven.
Your first instinct has survived four rounds of elimination. And now you've discovered that the January 2024 sandbox already contains an example of the architecture you're considering.
That's a much stronger business case than simply proposing another replacement.
I particularly like the addition of Content Types, because you've identified something fundamental: not every Play has the same structure.
